About Me
I believe the recovery of large herbivores and other species and their environments is fundamental to restoring nature rich and complex ecosystems across Britain, Europe and beyond. As such, I combine scientific research, practical fieldwork, and consultancy to support nature restoration, helping to reinstate resilient landscapes shaped by megaherbivores.

As a rewilding consultant, PhD researcher and wildlife guide my specialisms include:

-
Species reintroductions
-
Large herbivore ecology
-
Conservation palaeobiology

Rewilding Consultancy
I provide specialist support for nature recovery projects, working with landowners, conservation organisations, and land managers to restore nature-rich landscapes. My services include strategic consultancy, site assessments, feasibility studies, commissioned research, and reports designed to deliver evidence-based rewilding outcomes.

My expertise lies in species reintroductions, large herbivores, and naturalistic grazing, helping to design and implement projects that kickstart vital ecological processes and strengthen habitat connectivity. Alongside consultancy, my PhD research in large herbivore reintroductions with a focis on elk and bison, provides a strong scientific foundation for developing innovative and resilient rewilding strategies across Britain and Europe.

PhD Research
Megaherbivores as
Keystone Species
Currently, I am undertaking a PhD at the Centre for Quaternary Research, Royal Holloway, University of London, investigating the role of Elk and Bison as keystone species in rewilding landscapes.

My research integrates:

-
Trophic rewilding and large herbivore ecology
-
Large herbivore coexistence and law
-
Quaternary mammal palaeobiology

Fieldwork takes me across Britain, Denmark, Spain and other European sites, to understand how rewilding with large herbivores drives positive ecological change. My PhD project contributes to the fields of conservation palaeobiology, trophic rewilding, large herbivore ecology and coexistence, providing an evidence base to underpin future keystone species reintroductions in Britain and beyond.
Horses Naturally
Creating beautiful nature-rich habitats for happy and healthy domesticated horses
I offer a consultancy service to help horse owners and land managers create biodiverse, more enriching habitats that improve the environment and health of their domesticated horses. Drawing on experience and evidence-based research of natural grazing ecology and behaviour of horses in nature recovery initiatives I can help to review your current set-up and provide recommendations that improve the availability of species-rich forage, environmental enrichment, shade and shelter and support the physical and behavioural well-being of each horse. Consultations can be on site, in person or online.
